My name is Kim Bradley. For many years, far more than I choose to admit, I have been a hand and machine sewer and I probably owe that to my mum. (Thanks mum) My first sewing machine was a second hand Juki industrial and I drove is like a person possessed. I made a few quilts back in the 80s mostly for my children, family and friends. As computer assisted sewing machines became available I became seriously interested in machine embroidery, a subject I am now passionate about. This lead to more quilts, the purchase of a professional Quilting machine to quilt for myself and as my dear friends broadcast the fact that I could quilt, a business started and this grew beyond all expectations leading to the purchase of the second machine, a Computerised Statler Stitcher. Both machines are Gammill Optimums (30 inch throat) with full stitch regulation and we work on both 12 foot and 14 foot tables. Partner Dave is the computer literate man and operates the Statler more hours than he would like to admit. We both have a highly professional approach to our customer’s quilts, take pride in our work and treat the quilts as we would our own. Our pattern library is sourced from most of the pattern suppliers, has a repertoire literally in the thousands and we stock different types of wadding such as, cotton, wool, wool-silk wool-cotton, poly-o-so-soft and a large range of cotton threads in plain, vibrant and variegated colours. Our work has received acclaim from quilting magazine editors in Australia and the US and we continue to develop our ideas to achieve better results. I specialise in free-motion, with a particular interest in Victorian Feathers. As a natural advancement, I can now offer patterns computer controlled quilting machines.
Due to my interest in machine embroidery, these patterns are also available in the common machine embroidery formats. I have always had a creative flair and in particular, I like to look outside the square. I’m not way out in my designs but I do like to merge traditional with new ideas.
